![]() man, you put your team together and have really been grindin'.RESPECT. Speaking of disco d.i saw you in 2001 at the rhinestone b-boy show(wmc). ![]() as matter of fact the last time i played with someone that used serato (for a live show mind you) it crashed mid-set on them. ![]() If i was a touring marquee-type dj (like disco d over here) and only had to play a hour or 2 set and be done, i'd probably go with serato but i play for too long (5+ hours) in too many locations to put all my trust in one laptop. he says, "oh we're going to fix that and also have it where you can replace it with a real vinyl one." it never looks good in videos though. everyone was telling the pioneer rep that the platter was a wobbly hunk of metal and that ruined the feel. me and a bunch of cats were taking turns scratching on it jazzy jay, shortkut from the beat junkies, just to name a few. i had the chance to play with it about a year before it came out. Also a push button knob allows you to chop a looped section in half as many times as you would like or expand it. The loop on and off, auto loop, and loop roll are controlled with one button use. the platter is really wobbly and it feels nothing like a 1200. With the DN-HC1000S, Denon makes these functions simple and easy, with the touch of a single lighted and labeled button. The technique is the most overrated, overpriced one of the bunch. they just came out with a direct-drive one but i have seen it in the stores yet. ![]() The denon is okay but i've seen the belt on the platter actually wear out and start to slip.not good. the algos just aren't as good as the the pioneer. The numark cdx has a good feel (it's basically a gutted out turntable) but IMHO the master tempo, pitch and effects sound very, very digital. it's the most stable, reliable, best sounding stuff out there. Once you get acustomed to the feel of the platter, pioneer is the way to go. I've been djing 3-6 nights a week for at least 6 years and i've tried everything.here's my thoughts. ![]()
